How to Use Essential Oils in Therapy

1. JOINING MIND & BODY BY SCENT TO BETTER PREPARE PATIENTS FOR THERAPY 

Add a few drops of essential oil into a toonie size amount of carrier oil. Rub together in your hands . Cup your hands in front of your patient’s nose.  Ask them to take 3 deep breaths through their nose.  TIP:  You can also use the roll-ons.

2. AMPING UP A FULL BODY MASSAGE 

Many essential oils have been used in holistic medicine for centuries due to their inherent properties.  Add 10-12 drops to 1/4 cup/60 ml of any Poya Gel, Lotion or Massage oil to a create custom massage formula based on you patient’s needs.

3. ENHANCE YOUR SPOT TREATMENTS 

If you do not have an unscented oil, lotion or gel to work with, you can add 3 - 5% of the oil directly to a carrier oil. This amounts to about the same proportions as #1. TIP:  You can also use the roll-ons for small regions.
